The Kalrayan Hills, also known as Kalvarayan Hills, are a picturesque mountain range located in the Salem district of Tamil Nadu. Renowned for their stunning landscapes, diverse wildlife, and cultural significance, these hills have become a popular tourist destination in the region.

 The area is characterized by dense forests, rugged hills, and breathtaking scenery, with numerous waterfalls, streams, and valleys adding to its natural beauty. Visitors can indulge in activities such as trekking and hiking, while also enjoying magnificent views of the surroundings. The Kalrayan Hills are home to indigenous tribes like the Malayan people, and offer options for camping, rock climbing, and rope climbing, providing guests with exciting outdoor experiences. Notable waterfalls in the area include Agaya Gangai Waterfall, Pachaimalai Waterfall, and Kollimalai Waterfall, which are perfect spots for relaxation and rejuvenation.

 To reach the Kalrayan Hills, one can travel to Salem airport or junction and then drive approximately 50 km towards the hills. 

Some of the top attractions in the area include Gomukhi Dam, Megam Falls, and Periyar Falls.

 The best time to visit the Kalrayan Hills is from December to February, when the weather is pleasant and ideal for outdoor activities.
