Morning begins with a visit to the Raagu temple at Tirunageswaram Sri Naganathaswamy Temple. This temple is unique as it features Lord Rahu with a human face, and during milk Abhishekam, the milk poured over Lord Rahu's idol turns blue, considered a miraculous event that draws devotees from afar. It's believed to mitigate the malefic effects of Rahu. Next, head to the Saneeswara Temple (dedicated to Saturn) in Thirunallar. Although Lord Shiva is the primary deity, the temple is renowned for Lord Saneeswaran (Saturn), who acts as the doorkeeper to Shiva. Seeking blessings from Saneeswaran is said to allow devotees to see Lord Shiva. Saneeswaran's Abhayahastha posture signifies his blessings upon devotees. In the afternoon, visit the Kethu temple at Keezhaperumpallam. Here, Lord Shiva is the main deity, while Lord Kethu is depicted with a human body and a serpent's head. Special offerings such as Lilly flowers, horse gram (Kollu), and multicolored cloths are made to Lord Kethu. Return to Kumbakonam for an overnight stay.
